A core aspect of the International Health Division’s work is aimed at forming closer ties between DoD and international health leaders, U.S. civilian lead agencies, and nongovernmental organizations to improve Military Health System humanitarian medical relief and health sector reconstruction planning, training and missions across disaster, combat, post-conflict or at-risk settings. International Health seeks to improve MHS global outreach approaches that enable countries to develop their medical capabilities in a sustainable way while DoD strengthens its regional partnerships and collaborates with other departments to improve efficiency and leverage international best practices.
